Just to touch briefly on the idea of a lot of the extracts you see advertised everywhere, you may know by now that my general feeling is you should try to be getting all the "immune boosters" and "skin detox" agents naturally.
It was once told to me that let's say they find out that people who eat a ton of broccoli feel ten years younger. A bunch of scientists will dig around until they find what they think is the "active" compound in broccoli and call it Youthatrol and try to sell it. The issue is that there are probably thousands of other compounds that make up broccoli and we have no idea how they all interact, so it's impossible to say if Youthatrol does the job on it's own or works well because of the other stuff it's combined with.
Consider a workforce of 100 people - if you take the most productive person there and give them a promotion to manage or work with another 99 people, there's a chance things will work out as well, but more likely, there was some dynamic there that we didn't know about as outside observers and you won't be able to recapture that effect.
So I can't promise you that the supplements you hear about won't do something to help you. What I do know is that focusing on the simpler things we know about - eating mostly a plant based diet, about 30 minutes/day of exercise, maintaining good stress levels and mental health, keeping up healthy social contacts, and not spending too much time staring at your phone or computer screen - is usually the safest investment of your time and energy.
