Trouble sleeping is a big problem for about 1/3 of people and can lead to a number of chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and depression as well as accidents and injuries. Most people should be getting about 7 hours of sleep a day on average naturally. There's no real proof that any sleep aids (medications and supplements) reduce your risk of these conditions even if they do cause a little more sleep and many have actually been linked to earlier onset of dementia and death.
So the good folks at the mother ship have made a lot of resources to help guide you to sleeping better if you have troubles (or to pass on to others, even if they aren't KP members for most of these).
Insomnia means you regularly have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early – even when you have enough time to sleep at night. As a result, you may have fatigue, trouble concentrating, or mood changes that affect your daytime routines.
I’d like you to look at these resources about insomnia to help you sleep and feel better.
